The Program

All of us Fitness is a community prevention and wellness program for youth, to support communities in vulnerable environments by creating sustainable change and investing in prevention planning and practices that lead to healthier lifestyles. We incorporate physical fitness to enhance the mental and emotional health of the youth ages 9-18 years of age.

Our non-profit is committed to supporting health disparities to maintain mental health. Our multi-level model is designed to provide participants with physical activity and healthy lifestyle alternatives that will immediately impact their lives and garner opportunities to lead to productive livelihoods and community leadership. The program uses the research-based prevention program framework which is risk and protection-focused, data-driven, and outcome-based.

Program Theory

The program is grounded in a broad theory of self-concept. It relies on intrinsic motivation for developing and maintaining positive behavioral patterns and teaches the skills for learning and motivation for achieving success and happiness for everyone. The universal premise—that you feel good about yourself when you do positive actions and there is always a positive way to do everything—is represented by the self-reinforcing “thoughts–actions–feelings” positive thoughts lead to positive actions, positive actions lead to positive feelings about oneself, and positive feelings lead to more positive thoughts and positive outcomes.

The Outcomes

To increase the perception of healthy living, healthy lifestyles, and healthy choices. To improve participating youth’s life skills, including leadership, self-confidence, communication, problem-solving, and trust. To provide at-risk youth with adult mentors that hold healthy beliefs and clear standards.
